What do you think of Photography in Norfolk.?

Photography in Norfolk - Now there’s a thing - People here don’t seem to really appreciate Professional Photography, certainly not for family & normal social photography anyway - more likely to be happy with just Smart Phone Photography - I guess it’s because it’s cheap & easy..

Well if that’s all you need I guess that fine - BUT I do think you are missing out somewhat..

But sad to say I thought that Point & Shoot photography went out of fashion years ago - At least I thought it had - perhaps it’s come back with the mobile phone. Don’t get me wrong - there is a lot of technology crammed into a smart phone and the cameras are getting amazing BUT when I’ve looked at images taken on a Phone they do just NOT stand up to scrutiny.

I know we all use our phones to take a quick shot or to shoot a quick video - I do it all the time - in fact I did one yesterday -

I know Pro Photographers seem to be expensive - BUT when you realise that this is their main job - and they have bills to pay the same as all of us - that’s why they charge.

That’s to say nothing of all of the years that they have had to spend money on Training & Qualifications, Updates & Workshops - and don’t even get me started on the cost of Pro camera gear - it’s a nightmare..

BUT the one key thing that we should all be thinking about is what do you get from the person that is the Pro Photographer - ( I know not all photographers are the same ), but the posing and people skills and lighting knowledge & skills that they use to make you feel comfortable and look good are worth their weight in gold for the right people.

And if you’re not the right people or don’t believe or understand what a Pro photographer brings to the party - then that’s fine - there’s always your Smart phone….
