A great week for business & photography

It’s great when Photography & Business come together

So an early start to a Sunday last week to get to the Charity Trail Run in aid of Breast Cancer. Company set up called Littlelifts - www.littlelifts.org.uk - which I must admit I hadn’t heard off until a few months ago when I spotted a note on LinkedIn asking for help for this Charity Event - I thought yeh why not and offered my Photography services - I always like to give something back when I can and if an opportunity presents itself.

When you find a Great Business

There are lots of charities out there BUT this one did surprise me - as I managed to speak to the founder - Oa Hackett - who is a remarkable person. Having had Breast cancer herself ten years ago she has set up this organisation to support other people - around 60,000 - each year that have the same problem - to help and support them and provide that little bit extra to help them know they are not alone and people are there for them.

As Oa is coming up to her 10 year anniversary she has set up another site for donations to help further.

Constant ideas for Business & working with other Business for the benefit of people.

Now that is what I love about working with other businesses and people for the benefit of the greater good. And giving up my time to provide Charity Photography is a thing I do very willingly ( sometimes perhaps to willingly - mustn’t forget I am a business afterall ). But hey it’s really lovely to work and make contact with others and it’s surprising what may come out of the contacts that may well positively impact your business at the end of the day.

When you see smiling faces like this…

It’s pure joy to see this happening with over 320 runners on Sunday it was an absolute privilage to be part of it AND what an inspiration they all were - 10k - 20k and 30k events and they all came back smiling.

This is just the 2nd year of this event - I think it will be an ongoing annual event so if you would like to get involved contact them via the website.

Other stuff this week for business..

So I seem to be involved again with Property Photography which I love doing and have been for some years. Property from Air BNB’s to residential Homes to Care Homes, to Hotels & B & B’s to normal Homes of all shapes & sizes - I love doing them all. Over many years I have come to realise that most things work in cycles - so some months I don’t get much property work - with other months I get quite a lot. What is nice is that I have the knowledge & experience to be able to switch it on when it’s needed to a great quality.

Of course when I’m not doing property I’m involved with Business & Branding, Headshots etc - Sports Photography - People & Families - and there you are the key for me in all of that is People - that’s what I do - Photography for People - Boom…. Whether it’s to arrange their home or business to be photographed for marketing or sale of the property or if it’s Headshots to enhance their business profile it’s all about the people for me.
